Shallots Chutney (Ulli Chutney)

This is a simple chutney you can make with just 4 ingredients. This goes well with idlis and dosas. My dad loves this chutney so much that I remember him each time I make this chutney :)

Ingredients:

1. Peeled Shallots - 8-10 nos
2. Kashmiri chilli powder - 3 tsp
3. Coconut oil - 4 tsp
4. Salt


Steps:

1. Add the shallots, chilli powder and salt into a mixer or blender.

2. Blend it until it becomes a smooth paste.

3. Transfer the chutney to a bowl and add 4 tsp of coconut oil to it. The coconut oil balances the pungent flavour of the shallots and the spiciness of the chilli powder and makes it a wonderful side dish for breakfast.
